Hi,

Having a problem with my RS, yesterday when I hit full boost in my car, the EML light came on and the Power train Malfunction light (!) started flashing then it hit limp. I switched the car off and on and saw if it would then boost and it was hesitant but did hold boost but then misfired.

Is there any clues on what this could be?

Coil pack? Dump valve?


Any advice would be really greatful!

The flashing MIL tells you the car was misfiring, which could damage the expensive catalyst.
It could be a coil pack or some mixture problem.
Get the codes read by a diagnostic machine and you will know more.

I will have to get the codes, just before boost it isnt revving freely, which makes me think that it could well be coilpack.
