my brother has just had his first car off his dad and the engine is knakred can a 1.25 be put in insted as those 1.3 engines are crap

 

Why?

There will little to no performance difference between then. The Endura is 68 HP, whilst the Zetec is claimed at 75.

Therefore this would outweighed by the amount of work you would have to do!

Get a new endura e, skim the head and the block to raise c/r fit a trottle body off a 1.4 fiesta, if it has an air flow meter cut the screen out of it to improve airflow,and fit a cone filter,get a four branch manifold to remove the cat and get it remapped. otherwise buy a 1.4 fiesta
