My Mk1 Orion 1.8 Zetec had broken its IB5 box so that got replaced with a Mk3 XR3 short ratio box. Started making noises after 2 months so now I'm pretty much done with it. MOT is expired now and will get new MOT when I finish the turbo conversion. Picked up a Mk3 RS Turbo gearbox last week but still need plenty more parts.

For the meanwhile, I bought this rust bucket with almost a year MOT. The 1.1 engine runs fine and does 40 miles per gallon on the highway (5 speed gearbox)

I'll just dump the pics from when I got it till how it is now. Anyone saying it can be saved, make me an offer to buy it so you can restore it yourself.

Whats the tow rope all about?? Is it there incase it breaks down lol.

the list of things that need to be fixed / replaced / welded is just too big. The time needed for that could and should be spend on a much better Mk3. There is really nothing from this car that can be used to fix another Mk3. Everything has dents or rust. Might as well have some fun with this bucket
