Hi All,

Bought a set of 16" RS7s (The diamond cuts) and they didn't come with any tyres, before I go and buy some anyone know the best tyre size to get for fitment to a mk4 Escort / Mk2 Orion?.

Also do they need spacers to fit or should they be ok? I believe they are ET35 / ET39

I have run these on 205/40s on a mk2 orion and you should not need any spacers 195s fit but offer little protection on the rim

 

Cheers mate, my mate keeps telling me 40 is too thin and I should have 45 I am losing the will here lol. You reckon 45s would look daft?

 

195/45 or 205/45 should be fine, i think i would only go 40 on a 17" rim...

not the greatest pic but i had 205/45/16 on my old S1

 

40 will get you nearer the standard rolling diameter.

I have 205/40/16 on my pro race 2's. However, 205/40/16 is a rare size and doesnt leave you much choice for tyres.

 

195/45/16 fitted to 8J Comp TH's with Et25

 

Just fitted 205 45 16 on my rs7 16's with no problems
