I've bust the viscous fan on my pinto removing it from the old coolant pump, so new pump fitted and I'm going to fit an electric fan instead.

I found these spools of wire in an old Granada a few years back, will it be okay to use on the electric fan?





For now i'm just going to wire the fans up to a switch so I can turn them on and off at will. done this before but had old bits of engine loom so I knew it was okay.

Is this stuff above up to the job?

it's to do with Amps required vs length of the wire, I think?

 

It would be rather on the small side for a fan, fans can draw a fair bit of current.

wire should be copper and at least 1.5,
I always wire in a relay and a fuse too 20-25 amp
