Incredible! I was only thinking yesterday at rallyday what happend to this. He must be using it for drag only now. With that terminal speed it's got to be 1000+hp.

 

Just had the word 1100 bhp

 

Saw him at time attack at silverstone too

 

Tidy, good to see that it's back out. Had a look around Gareth Lloyd a time attack evo at rallyday that's a serious bit of kit too!

 

Its mental the speeds being achieved now, and they still handle with the time attack times proving, seriously impressive stuff

 

Yeah it's mad how fast they are these days. Andy Forrest knocked a second off Charlie shaws lap record for knock hill today and his Subaru also runs 8.5 second quarters! Getting seriously quick now.

A 7 does look possible now! Hard to believe only 10 years ago the 9 second barrier was just broke into by Keith cowies r32 gtr now people are running low 8's.

Ye, I remember when the quickest UK cars were running 10s and that only out and out dragsters could run anything quicker.

Ye, I believe it was at Silverstone doing the time attack round there but it was a bit off the pace (teething issues?).

I believe its got skyline transmission, so it can be both.

 

Impressive in the first vid. The vid with Charlie shaw sounded like he couldnt get traction off the line. It just didnt sound right to me.

what engine, drivetrain has it got all evo still or retro fit ?

 

It's never been pure RWD I don't think.

It's on an Evo engine still but due to drive train breakages and because it launched off the line so badly when it was transversely mounted (always leapt violently to the side) the engine was turned sideways to be longitudinally mounted. It's now on a Skyline sequential gearbox and diffs.

 

that explains why its so quick with some skyline blood in it

pound for pound an r32 gtr is imo the best performance/tuneing car available because of its strength as standard and tuneability.

 

Theres some impressive parts on that evo.
