LOL at reading it wrong, done that before now, its worth quite a bit due to number, but TBH these days I wouldn't be prepared to pay the money RS500s are fetching now whether I could afford it or not. Gone beyond sense, the owner should keep it and enjoy it.
if it was worth 65000 2 years ago what sort of money would it be now
to much imo, I don't get the prices they have gone silly imo.
I know the history and all that and mint low miles example, but at £65k its £10k over my r35 which I cant quite get my head around lol

not a pop at you or anything, but its all about what people want aint it.
If i had say 70k to spent on one garage toy ( I do love a cosy, especially an RS500 ) and your car it epic spec for the price , but i'd pass them both up,
i'd go for a 964 911 turbo, which are at a decent millage around the 70k mark, not the fastest or best handling, but look sooo good.
advert is doing exactly what it was aimed to do,
get it linked, passed on and talked about!
how many other Moonstone 500`s with origional 500, dealer plates, stickers, Ford mats, Boxed foglamps and Air Con are for sale? OR Could be for sale???
collectors/enthusiasts will pay well over the ods if they just simply want it.

The thing is if you bought this car for whatever crazy price it goes for what are you going to do with it? To retain its value or even go up more it can only become a museum exhibit? If you actually drove it the value would go down straight away. Is the new owner going to put it in a heated , carpeted ,lighted garage and invite "selected People " to come and drool over it?
This is a car that Ford should buy and put it in their museum for everyone who wants to see such an original one to come and look at.
