Default What are the differences between mk1 and mk2 fiesta?

I want to do a 2.0 zetec conversion, ive had a couple of mk2 fiesta's (already converted) and it looked quite straight forward

If i bought a mk1 fiesta- would the fitment of brakes, engine and gearbox be the same as a mk2??

Pretty sure the n/s chassis leg requires modifying to allow the 5sp box to go in but been so long since I touched a mk1.

To fit a 5 speed you need to notch the chassis leg, and drop the ns tie bar. also iirc the mk1 gearbox cradle is fitted closer to the centreline of the car.
not 100% sure, but i recall reading somewhere the 6 speed st 170 box fits easier, but requires custom shafts.
