Car Choices
So I currently drive an 08 S-Line A3 S-Tronic 1.8t FSI. It is great but it is a bit...boring.
I am looking to sell it privately which means I should get an easy £10k.
I am looking at buying something a bit naughtier with this money, I really want to spend about £8k max though and leave the rest for some mods.
I have a list of cars would anyone like to critique them and offer suggestions.
Bear in mind I am 6ft 8, and quite fat LOL so I have to be careful what I fit in and dont.
1. Audi TT QS 240 - really like these, quite quick, £6k - I fit in these (not the bucket seat ones) JUST literally have mm's of spare room.
2. Renault Megane 225, around £5k, not driven one.
3. Ford Focus St-3, not driven one of these either.
4. Buy the same car I have now but in 3.2 V6 form.
5. E46 330ci - a little less focused compared to the competition, but quite quick, roomy etc.
Any others? I don't want something that will rape my monthly expendable with servicing such as an E46 M3 or an E39 M5 or I would just go and buy one of those.
It will be a daily but I only do <30 miles a day if that. I don't go to work as such - I work from home.
I will want to use whatever I buy at Oulton Park and the tracks near Nottingham when I move house within 2 months.

I can't really test drive them - I live in Cornwall and here there are absolutely fuck all performance cars...all diesels and all around £2k more than they cost everywhere else.
I don't want anything too old, say 2003 and later really. I hated my mk1 focus, and RST is just way too old.

for bigger people i vote for e55 or mondeo st220, as fun, fast, comfy and spacious, not found any BMW's i can fit in at 6 1 and 24 stone, they are like sitting in a sardine tin

My dad has just brought a mk1 audi tt 240 sport and its bloody brilliant, good value, fantastic build quality, quick for what it is, really go karty type feeel to it, massive grip through the bends, great on fuel it will do 30 mpg round town even when driving enthusiastcly, looks cool i think theyve aged really well and lost a lot of the image problem they had when they first came out. I have owned and driven many many performance cars and work on cars as my job so i feel i can be a good judge of a car to give you an idea where im coming from. Go and drive one you wont be dissapointed
