Default Best new supermini (not performance models)

Right, the wife needs a new car, it'll be new and a supermini with a small engine not performance orientated. She likes plenty of storage.

I know what I like (probably a fabia or fiesta) but what do you guys have in the household that you recommend or don't.

My wife's got a hyundai i20 diesel. Definitely no frills but if you just want a car it's pretty good. 5 year unlimited mileage warranty too. It's done 95k now and not given a great deal of bother!

Yeah I may work for them, But I never had an opinion on them until I work with them for a living. I've got to say the brand new F56 Mini, Look fantastic and come with many options....

Seat Ibiza is worth a look. The wife had one and it was a great little drive. Plenty of kit and decent looking too.

Just bought a Fabia Black Edition (in white )

Cracking little 1.2 with 104bhp and loads of toys, really smart. I'm a good husband!

I work with them at the moment, most problems seem to stem from 'old people' and clutches

Considered a jazz to be honest as they are great cars, also Nissan note but the Fabia is a wee cracker in this spec. Very happy with it

My wife had a note too, bland as fuck but pretty roomy inside, best feature is the sliding rear seats that give you a massive boot or loads of leg room.

Looked quite good lowered on big wheels too lol.

Bought my missus a 61 plate note a few months back, she loves it. Not a bad little motor, roomy inside, got a few gadgets, more than my old RS anyway lol, got a roof rack and storage box a while back and it went to devon, dorset etc in the summer and never missed a beat. A mate of mine works in a nissan dealers and says they never get notes brought in with faults or any trouble. Good solid engines.
