Hi guys anyone know where I can get a new vin plate for under side drivers seat?

chassis number should be stamped in the floor of an escort rs ,
any garage can stamp this if the panel has been replaced , and its a requirement.
a vin plate is a silver ali plate located on the underbonnet slam panel
they are available as reproductions and some costly genuine ones do come up for sale on Ebayyy

 

Thankyou. Yes its the chassis stamp im after, but I cant find anywhere that will do it on the isle of wight :/ cant get her m.o.t'd untill done

 

If I didn`t have some already I would buy some, or visit a garage and with a deposit ask to borrow their stamps,
letter / number stamps 5mm or 6mm will be ok, machine mart in I,o,w ?????
place trolley jack under car, with slab of hardwood in the area to be stamped, or the floor will cave-in
failing that, book it into mot garage requesting the stamping of your code prior to them testing it, its a 10 minute job ,

 

they may require proof of I'd and maybe logbook too
