im hopefully going to be putting my engine back into the escort shortly but with efi not mfi, ive been told that the 2 original ecu's will now be redundant as i will be using just the efi ecu, can i just unplug those two ecu's or do i need to change some of the original wiring as well

You can unplug the mfi ecu's, depending on what type of efi system you use will depend on what you have to do, some wiring will be required regardless.
