Default Was meant to be a quick cheap track/drift sapph 2wd!!!

As title another one of those it will be just for a bit of fun ill track it drift it etc two years later I still haven't driven it and don't know where I am with it lol!!! I started my own buisness 4 years ago so sold all the toys as thought I would have no time for them etc but soon after I realised I just had to have something that I could use/ mess around with in the quiet times but I wanted something I could just get in and use!!!! Trouble is me being me that's there it all went wrong I like things to be right as I'm sure we all do and I like to have them how I want also so of course keeping it as it was and just using it went straight out the window!!! The car started out as a 1.8lx then at some point was converted to run a 2.9 v6 boa. the engine was rebuilt and it has uprated cams (unknown spec)skimmed heads as well as ported and polished etc the car seems to have had all or most of the work carried out by top boss as nearly all the reciepts are from there totalling some serious money!!someone may even recognise the car and if you do and have any pics of it etc or any info then please feel free to post them up etc.i seemed to have lost the first pics I had of the car when it was as I bought it etc but it apart from the engine it was just a standard sapph on 17"s and spax suspension stainless exhaust and running the v6.

Next on the list was to buy and fit a rollcage so a full rollcentre cage was sourced and fitted along with some mounts for my bucket seats then I stripped and re painted the floors to keep it looking all fresh also needed to trim the dash and move the ecu somewhere I could locate it easy enough which meant I had to make a bracket up to hold and mount it etc.

Seat bases done so time to source some seats!! Managed to source a cobra evo cheap and new so the task was to find another (what a pain that was ) managed to source one that someone had tried to re cover but let's just say that didn't work out well lol!! So a quick call to cobra and a new cover/foams/clips were ordered and the re trim begins.not to bad a job to do made a few mistakes but overall looks as good as new and cost me less than half the price of a new seat!!!

Needed to tidy some wiring and move a few things so decided to make my own lower dash to house my window switches (only temp as going full poly windows at some point)fan switch and 12v power outlet.also decided to cut out top heater vents and fit a removable cover as I plan on fitting some gauges various switches and starter button etc.got some 3 mm poly carb sheet and marked it up did a bit of heating and bending then a bit of carbon wrap and hey presto what ya reckon not bad I thought!!!

i hope he is not..as the welding in the sunroof plate were kinda friggin shitty.should have put more welding spots in there..or that roof is more prone to crack in the paint.or at least i would think so.

but..no offense really.as the rest of the project....looks good.

No offense taken the welds in the pics were just the tac welds to hold in place I didn't put a pic up of it welded but rest assured it was welded properly
