Red face My escort cosworth engine bay so far..

Only had the car a few weeks but have spent a bit of time cleaning and replacing bits and pieces under the bonnet. Fitted a new heat shield , coolant tank and power steering tank (not happy with its colour really)

Going to get the rocker cover refurbed next, not sure if to keep it red or maybe go back to the oe blue.

Comments welcome good or bad and where I can improve

My opinions only:

Hose from turbo to header tank needs to be routed either as a 4x4 or shortened
Fuel reg needs to be upright
change blue hose for black or std orange like the inlet.

But its your choice and what you want to achieve.

Regards
Paul

Managed to get a few more bits done today, did some more cleaning in the hard to reach areas of the engine bay. Painted the oil breather, map sensor bracket satin black, replaced the rubber fuel and breather hoses. Fitted new hose clips all round. Shortened and rerouted the header tank pipe and straightened up the fuel accumulator so now it sits right.

My new boost hoses from roose turned up to, really pleased with them.

The coolant return from turbo to header needs to be routed thru engine lifting eye if you wanted it to be a little more factory looking. Also with that theme in mind coolant should be blue. Also warning sticker on abs reservoir

Looking good

Cheers pal i did wonder this as i looked at a couple of rs500 engine bay pictures. I have a decal on order for the brake res too I didnt know that about the coolant. I will get some ordered up and when i get chance get it flushed out. Im guessing all the red needs to be gone otherwise the blue is likely to go green
