Default I need of urgent help! Diesel to petrol conversation (Mondeo MK1)

Hi folks my cambelt snapped today on my 1.8td mondeo and has screwed everything up on it. I can't afford a new car at all so i'll rule that one out. I've just looked on ebay for the 1.8td-i (turbo diesel intercooled) engine block however no results what so ever only getting the non turbo and the non intercooled td lumps which are no good for the car. There is a lot of mondeo mk2 2.0 zetec black top engines going for £150-£250 which seems in my budget. Can anyone guide me in a sort of direction if i could convert from diesel to petrol on a cheap budget?

Tom

It'd probably be cheaper to buy a petrol car.

I have to agree with Paul here,

You would need at the very least the engine wiring loom, fuel pump, tank, lines, Dash clocks, Cat convertor to name a few things.

It would be cheaper just buying something that is a run around and using it till it dies.

Old Fiestas and even fiats and ex taxi's usually go for a few hundred quid on ebay if it's something to tide you over.

A 1.8D or non intercooled engine will fit but will just be down on power.
