Mobil 1 oil..
Some advice needed guys,
I've acquired 5 litres of Mobil 1 Rally Formula 4 stroke 15/50W engine oil, Problem is that it's oil designed for motorbike engines. Could this type of oil be used in a 4 stroke car engine? possibly turboed multivalve versions.
It was all free so if i can use it, Great.
Thanks!

Was it really ? I used it for donkeys and never recalled it being that thick....it went down to pisswater at one stage and I stopped using it because it was too thin

Yep, That's the grade, 15/50 fully sinthetic 4 stroke bike racing engine oil, Classic 1 litre grey bottles and they even have that small square thing with lots of small dots that are for readingnfo using your iphone so i don't think that these cans are all that old.
The original question remains though, Could this particular oil be used in a turboed 16v car engine without issues??
The viscosity rating is the same as the original turbo 16v engine, 15/50W.
Let me know.
Cheers.

5/50 when it first appeared would post a piccy up but technology not a strong point put it into a x flow or pinto and it would leak as it was that thin a viscosity. lots of grades available under the mobil 1 tag nowadays
