Aa above,, connect starter is meant to be the best upgrade, no modifying to fit either i don't think!
But even when youve fitted new starter try heat wrapping your downpipe and possibly the starter aswell,, they just get fried with the heat!!

I've just put a transit connect starter on my series one as the standard one seized up when hot.
It bolted straight on & seems a hell of a lot better
