Rattle can primer is fine and won't react with 2 PAC paint.
We use rattle can etch and high build primer all the time in a professional body shop.

With a self prep they will probably wet on wet it.

Lay a base of 2pac primer to seal it all then paint on top.
Don't worry.

Like yer man above says, it should be alright.
We also use upol etch from a can when doing spot repairs. I mention the brand as halfords and several of our local motor factors do it (easy to get)
As long as the area is not contaminated (oil/grease/finger-prints etc)
if prepped in your garage a reasonably dry day with good temp. eg not raining loads no damp.
and finally the area had a rub down to get a good key your doing the same thing most bodyshops do

That primer can still react same as paint. I've had no problems myself so as long as its clean before spraying. Whoever said that is talking rubbish.
