My cars been stood for a while , ive just brought it from my lock up to my house. its been unused for about a year. Don't get me wrong they never flew but now there really crap. Windows hardly work and the wipers well there crap. Any pointers what to check ?
Also ive just bought some softlines , my wheel bolts off my standard s2 wheels dont have a big enough collar. Looks like i need a larger collar on the bolts or my standard ones look like they'll pull through the alloy wheel. any idea where i can get a set. Thanks Daz

 

could check the earths, try wd40 on vertical window rubber channels,
if its an old battery could be lazy , wiper motor cheap and easy to replace,,
ghia bolts I think they are called, that's what your after, search old posts on here ,
or check out sheedshack not sure he calls them ghia,
but a great page of new/used stuff

I would suggest taking the wiper motor off and giving it a good clean. I did mine recently and the contacts were black and the grease was very thick and old. Cleaned the contacts, fresh grease and the wipers are quicker than they have ever been.

I also did my windows recently during the rebuild. I bought new connectors for the buttons and motor and used a bit of pledge in the runners. Same again, better than they have ever been.
