evening all ive brought a fiesta rs turbo that im going to restore it pretty much std,
any way i found once it got to about 75 it would cut out on boost i found vacum on the dump valve was lose and all seem ok till to night on boost about 75 cut out again, and all way home very time brought on boost same thing any idea pete

 

Does it have a chip fitted? If so, check to make sure it is correctly fitted and use some tape to hold it to the ECU.

If there is no chip fitted then it sounds like it is over boosting and hitting the boost limit. Then the actuator or dump valve needs winding in.

 

It not chiped never has been std other than exhaust few hoses and shine bits lol it started few days a go , found lose hose to dump valve and sorted it out , done it last night and then started doing it very time I went on boost , going to stage one it where best to get chip seen few on e bay going to check fueling to

 

Ive got a superchips ofab 195 chip for £150 and im in colchester

Thanks buddy I'm only looking to go 165 bhp I don't want to blow it to bits lol once I get it runing right going to fit a new camshaft and lifter as it noisey what every one else useing in std camshaft

 

What boost are you running standard? ?

 

Just brought boost gauge been out on in to day after replaceing clutch rachet and was ok think it could be fueling

 

so what is the spec?

 

few hoses std inter cooler std ecu full stainless exhaust so it dead slow lol but want 165 chip can pretty much std wheels springs ect

 

is it still on standard injectors and how much boost is it running?

 

still on std injectors mate looking at the actuator dosent look like it been touched no boost gauge no think it runing std can you not code read them
