mk4 escort 1.8d cam belt

Hi all we have just bought a mk4 1.8d and the cam beld has gone but what damaged would it of done???

Is this car of any value to anybody???

Pretty much guaranteed to have done the valves/guides, they sometimes total the cam carriers/head.

as above , head is usually scrap , small chunks break off around cam shims
