hi all.
i am looking at getting my ford stereo and equalizer back up and running on my series 2 rst...
the loom has been cut for a non standard stereo..
i can see the speaker connector part which goes to all the speakers
and also the red/brown/yellow cables
HOW DOE I GET THIS WORKING AGAIN??????????
i think i need an 8 pin - 8 pin round connector(between eq and stereo) and various others
does anyone have a wiring diagram or any connectors/part of loom
please help cheers glenn

 

There's a diagram in a Haynes manual if you have one. You need a pair of 8 pin DIN connectors and half a metre of some 8 core cable, cat5e would probably do

2 big spades outer most is earth, brown from car
next big spade is perm live, red on car loom ( shield from brown or its bye bye fuse)
then its smaller spade , ignition /yellow on car loom
last small spade goes to red/white car loom
if you have 3 small spades, I think you leave an empty next to big red,
or connect grey/yellow, car loom, ( lights on)

I got tons of head units amps, graphics , and wires, rs turbo, cosworth . rs2000 ect
amp is triggered from head unit, just a red and a brown,
8 pin din both ends correct,
