I've stripped my YB down and I'm looking to replace all gaskets.

Mainly looking for advice on what kind of head gasket to use. Running stage 3, don't know what other info might be worth noting for choosing.

Ideally I'd like to buy a full kit of all gaskets and seals but if have to buy a seperate head gasket due to spec and then other gaskets and seals, so be it.

I used a group a gasket yb0611 I think it's called, victor reinz, I got them all from wood ford garage

 

I'm using a VR group A gasket with cometic / ford gaskets on my freshly rebuilt YB. No leaks as of yet *touch wood*

 

Group A head gasket and cometic for the rest done ok for mine

 

Ive just used a small turbo escort cosworth head gasket and cometic gaskets from Matt Lewis, also got genuine headbolts with the set and genuine valve stem seals

If 4x4 make sure you use proper sump sealer ford sell good stuff iv used it dozens of times on all sumps and never had a problem its actually made by loctite but cant remember the number as i think it may be cheaper of line under loctite name not ford. Dont use cheap silicone or anything like it because it will leak once you have ran it in and turned boost up.

 

It's a 2WD moon, I have heard that Nissan sump sealer is meant to be the dogs danglies... Will have to do a bit of research. Will be a wee while before I'm back on it.
