Cam sensor, coolant temp sensor, earths, all of these are common, even the throttle body's on these are a pain it may even clear itself and run if you keep the revs up a bit after starting it
Well what I call the distributor is the bit ontop of the spark plugs.
Never did true to rev it on start up, never had too maybe give it a go and maybe a new earth from the block?
It's had a coolant sensor but not a cam one. The fuel pump seems to work as you can hear it when the key is turned once.
I'll see how I get on with it.
Cheers!

We unplugged the air flow meter and it ran pretty good then died again so we changed that for one we know that works and it ran like this, seems good when revved up but then stays lumpy but does not cut out just sounds shit.

Still need to try cam sensor and put a earth on it.
Also it was the coil pack that i done but i seem to call them a distributor.

I can see any pipes loose/leaking. Not sure if it makes any difference but i think its a sports cat or even a cat just hollowed out, but still never checked the exhaust pressure.
With the breather pipe would it really matter this much if it had a leak in the pipe as its still getting air?

cant watch the vid but built a few , try get opcom ( ebay) but crank sensors are really common and only use a gen one !! these engines do not like anything aftermarket like coilpacks or sensors , the ecu are very common for a earth prob ( if its a mk4 astra google ecu earth mod ) also if it still has the breather box on the back of the engine i would remove this or use a proper metal splitter , the front engine breather from block to head can stop the engine reving up and make loads of prob remove it from both ends and clean it out , sorry cant be more help

So little update we did check the wiring to air flow but it was done about 6 weeks ago and still is fine.
The breather pipe is clean and does not have a breather box on.
Took the battery off and reset it all so it ran ok for a little then does the same again and now seems to run ok most the time but with some lights on the dash...
Ill update when i find out more
