I have a original RS500 front bumper and spoilers, front bumper has a crack in it near tow eye cover needs repair but. spoilers are ok.

After seeing what delusion is first hand tonight, and the last few months, I've given up hope of dealing with decent sellers with realistic prices for goods according to actual condition of said item.

 

What's your idea of a realistic price?

Have to say on here that 3dr, it looks like you after goods at below market value, the parts your after are rare and will sell at high prices, good look but I think you will be very very lucky to buy cheap, if every offer your getting is to expensive perhaps the pattern is they are priced correct

 

I'm not looking for cheap but that would be nice.

Ok so far I have purchased the following.

Front bumper 800 no grills or splitter
Rear upper spoiler 700 needs paint
Lower rear spoiler 80
I will be using a carbon fibre splitter 150

Total after painting- about 2000

Now the problem is I've seen cars that are way over valued considering there history/condition and parts that are fit for the bin or in terrible condition being valued at concours prices.

It's delusional.

The car (cossie891) I seen tonight has left me gobsmacked, I've never seen such a poor example, how that is worth more then Ł5k in its current state is beyond me.
Front bumper is the only thing half decent on it.

 

did you get the geniuine lowr with the c in part number and the ridged[mould line] at the upright cut out for Ł80? if so thats bargain of the century lol
Ł800 for a bumper if it needs paint seems about fair to me-Ł1k tops
upper tails would be very hard to value

But for Ł80 I will cut the section.

 

has it got the c at end of part no?
i was led to believe they are different at the ends that overhang the boot too would be intresting to see if any actual difference in the spolier
the genuine one has a ridged part at the upright as it would appear to be moulded that way rather than cut out-not that it will be seen once fitted tbh

The one I seen last night looked like it had been cut by a child with a blunt blade, absolutely horrendous.

Real rs500 lower spoilers are moulded not cut, I recently bought a brand new lower base model spoiler still in box for Ł110 they can still be got hold of cheap if you know where and when to look, I think it's near impossible to get hold of a rs500 front bumper for under Ł1000 now even if it has a crack or 2 and is modified....

 

Brand new for Ł110, do share that info pls.

I can't imagine genuine 500 lower spoilers being cut at factory, they had obviously been moulded.

Well I paid 800 for a very decent bumper and been offered a few not far off that price.

And I see the 500 bumper cossie891 wasn't quite doing the figures on eBay, it's now been removed from auction.

Or he has changed his mind lol

The fella I bought this from had bought this back in 1987 to turn his 3 door Cosworth into a rs500 replica but before he could fit it the car had been stolen months after owning it, this spoiler then sat in his loft until now along with a genuine ford wind deflector that sits on the rear screen, I had never seen one before until he showed me, it was of no interest to me so I advised him to post it on here, these lower spoilers pop up on ebay all the time listed incorrectly etc and can be got for a bargain just because Ebayers can't see them listed with what they put in the search bar.....sucks for the sellers but it's how I find bargains

How that thing stays in one piece after a drive is truly miraculous. I've never seen such shody workmanship.

And to top it off, I've come to learn it was previously a left hooker, can one car and it's history get any worse.
