Believe it or not it has 97k on it now, As for a price I will probably see if I can get a rough idea at the next RS meeting. All the prices I keep seeing are all over the place. I personaly think you got an absolute bargain with yours Kieron, As most that look like yours with that mileage are going for silly money.
You have a top top motor there mate and thanks for the coments

Well right back to you mate - yours is a stunning car all round. Reason I ask about the selling price is that there are a few people on here and at the RSOC who are chasing mint examples - a chap in Cardiff and Dan here at passionford.

If you come up with a price I'm sure it would move easily.

Got to be worth 5K plus in that condition.

5k is a long way to getting a decent 3dr but when I start doin some more shows I might keep it who knows!
By the way how do you get a nice Siggy like that then Kieron? I could do with one of them matey.

Mike...........

Hi Mike,

I asked in the photoshop section for a sig, and one of the mods - Martyn very nicely obliged.

I just did some touchups on it - but he did the hard work....

So do you enter the car into shows - or just park it for people to look around? Have you won anything with the car?

When you say 3dr - is that a Sierra Cosworth you are looking at - lovely car!

Hi Kieron,

I will have I kind word with one of the Mods soon, As for shows I just put it on the DoRSet group stand and let people mill around it, yep another one of my boyhood dream cars the 3dr sierra cosworth. I had always wanted a S1 and bought my first in 1989/90 (showing my age now) and loved it, Now after another I fancy going for the Sierra as I have never had one, Plus I fancy a wee bit more power in standard form, Don't want to start messing with the S1 ie chipping etc.

Always loved the S1 and the 3dr Cosworths. Back in '88 when I was 18 there was a guy who had an RS500 nearby - lovely, plus a guy with an "A" reg replica. He got hounded so much that he eventually sold it.

The chap with the RS500 now has a Cosworth Sapphire (downgrade!).

Always loved the S1, but would consider a mint 3dr in the future if things didn't go to plan (looking to hold the S1 until 2010 when I will be 40, to p/ex on a Ferrari.....)

Hehe, yeah, I will be 35 this April, 40 in April 2010!

Ferrari situation is this....

I would imagine I will clear 5k minimum on the RS if I keep the mileage minimal, so that's 5k towards a total of 25k on the Ferrari.

It's 5 years until my 40th so that's 4k a year to save to hit the target....

I think with 25k I should be able to grab a 348 spyder by then - definately an early Testarossa. And people routinely throw 25K at BMW's/Merc's - even Subaru's!

I guess it's something I just have to do, own one at some point in my life and they are the sort of cars that hold their value.

It's the main reason I sold my MR2 -

....which I cleared 5K on as the MR2 is going through the "muppet" phase of ownership - i.e. the kids are buying them and driving down the values, and apart from wanting a S1 since I was 18 (some 17 years ago) I felt the Ford was a better proposition in retaining it's value for the future.

I almost bought an Esprit as the search for the S1 was becoming tedious, until I happened to drop on mine!

Obviously you can't plan everything down in the future, so if the Ferrari dream doesn't come true then at least I will have a classic Ford that is relatively easy to maintain and enjoy.

Nice to see another S1 owned by somebody who must have admired them the first time round, yours is absolutely stunning mate.

Hope so, you better bring it to the next meet mate, if its not pissing down that is!

Looking abit thin on the ground at the moment but will keep looking, might not be able to fit the bugger in at home if I buy it tho, so might be a non starter now!

Can't have one and not garage it, thats just stupid!
