After putting my project a million times on hold, due to so many reasons I managed to get (my own soldered) megasquirt to start my RS Turbo today!

It would be helpfull if somebody could hook me up with a base table for VE (1600cc, std head, std EFI inlet) and a ignition base table to start from! Who can help me? And if you don't want to share on here please mail me at henrivanbeuningen@live.nl



So for the people that like it here is a little story of how the last days were:
Sunday it didn't start and i thought i didn't see any rpms when cranking. Also with finishing cranking it said directly offline which was strange, but no bel rang yet. I thought a bad VR signal would be the cause and i needed a scope.

Today i fixed a scope at work and with hooking this up we realised the MS had to stay online and probably our main relay failed, so i hooked the wire from the ignition to the battery and with that try to see the VR circuit the car fired up already!

Tried to get a stable idle, but i had to correct all the time so something was wrong. Then heared that the fuel pump didn't run only on prime. So when onto here and found that it needed a ignition signal to see that the engine runs. So that we fixed and then the idle became tune'able and much more stable ofcourse. Then i tried to set my map a bit, but rpm collapsed on this and i didn't have any feeling for ignition value's yet. So decided to stop to first read more about the ignition advance before going further. Then on the way back i realised that i had to tune the VR signal by the two blue boxes in the MS (Trigger and Hysteresis) and then it probably doens't jump RPM anymore.

After that my very first test with the MS (the power circuit test) it burned out components is had a big fear it might not start, but it did!


Me happy! Lets hope i don't walk into problems later on, but till now
