Just bought the linkage, was wondering if it can be refurbished like the old escort ones could?
I can't fit it to the car yet so though I may as well if I can get bits from ford?

 

I have done this conversion. Have no idea if t can be refurbed but I can tell you the gear stick won't centre anymore.
I was told to use springs from Linkage to chassis or anywhere underneath but I found the spring fowled on the exhaust.

 

Right I've taken the linkage apart just to have a look



Seems the only bit that you could change is the nylon ball
