My mate brought his escos around today to let me see his new wheels and to check out my new/old car. The escort looks stunning on the Comps with stickers.

The escort is very clean he bought it off Carlo on here , the new wheels make a nice change from the roundels that were on it.

Started a clean up on my car today but needs a proper detail , also fitted a carbon rear wing.

Is that your old "Beetle?" I had a run in my mates recently couldn't believe the speed, refinement, composure over bumps and the sound coming from the back!
Escos looks fantastic the wheels are sooo much better than the totally boring IMO previous fitments

Yes its my old car bought it back two days ago, i sold it 4 years ago and its the only car I regretted selling.
Needs a bit of a clean up visually but mechanically its still fantastic and I also got a couple of nice parts to fit in the deal. Plans are re do the brake callipers red, paint the seat backs and fit the Porsche Tequipment cage. I fitted the carbon GT2 wing blade and have carbon mirrors to fit aswell.

Not my place to say how much was payed for the escos but it wasn't actually forsake until my mate made Carlo a nice offer for the car
Matt I really couldn't put it down to just one thing, I found the R8 nice but just a bit safe/boring at times , something that i never had with the 911. I think the V10 R8 would be a totally different story.

The Porsche is stunning, from the pics it's hard to believe the wheel rims are not polished. I didn't realize that finish was available from powder coating.

Haha the grass is my next door neighbours.
I was shocked aswell at the quality of the chrome powder finish. It gives 80% of the looks but a lot easier to look after.

Very nice, really drawn to 996 Turbos at the minute. What are they like to live with? The only thing that lets them down for me is the dashboard and feel of the controls/switchgear.

Parts can be expensive, but generally the dry sump turbo block is very reliable.
Inside is a bit dated, especially the indicator stalks. I also think the steering wheel is a bit thin, I'm looking out for a spare to send away to be trimmed.
