Default new toy coming in a few weeks :)

Well the purchase has gone through and the car is going to be shipped in the next few weeks, so figured it was time to put up a bit of a teaser of my new project. Still waiting for a shipping date. Wanted one of these for quite some time now, along with a couple of others (hopefully more on these a little later)...........

Not sure what I am going to do with it, but it will be a fun little toy Will need a few mods to get it road legal over here, but has just gone through a bare metal restore and is currently running a Sierra 2.0l engine.

The white one has just been rebuilt, from the ground up. The blue may have 1 or 2 spots, but has been checked already.

Definitely, I just dont think its as good as the white one, but shouldnt take long to get it there (I hope )

Arriving tonight/tomorrow, but I am a little behind on getting the VAT clearance and customs stuff done, will be a week or 2

Will see once the whole process is completed. I will probably sell one of them, but this is a proof of concept in my head for a small import business. Just a side line thing. Will see afterward the process is finished....

They have arrived, all VAT has been paid and they are at the mechanics place. I am going to be keeping the white and its being broken apart and rebuilt as we speak car was 95% complete when I bought, it but I wanted a few extra things done.

The blue one has an incomplete engine and needs a complete strip down and rebuild, but I will be looking to sell this in the not too distant future.

They look sweet! Get that standard inlet off and get some proper big carbs on it! (Along with some big valves in the head and a lumpy cam)

Yeah, did annoy me a little but it was always just a "spare" car for me, to make up the missing bits on the white one.

sounds like a plan just want to get it running first, then I will mod it.

I know where Durban is may have been a little over-zealous about the land of zero rust - but still chances are a lot better than here where they coat all the roads in salt

Didnt know the wheels, so thanks!

Well the white one started last week, just needed some re-wiring and a fuel flush. Have a nice long list of work to be done over the next week or 2

Have decided I will more than likely sell the white one once its complete and then do a full ground up rebuild of the blue one and going with a nice revvy engine

Blue escort has been sold on, since I bought another classic, something I have been dreaming of for a little too long! RHD, UK spec

The white one is being moved to a local guy in Redhill on 6 December. Then the car gets stripped and sent off to the bodyshop to have the paint stripped off (paint has air or water bubbles coming through) and it will be getting resprayed in white. Hoping to have the car in the bodyshop by the middle of December

Then hopefully it will be ready for Spring next year!

Will need to get some additional parts:-
Interior dash
Interior clocks
Bumpers (front and rear)
Decent wheels

Today the 240z arrived at the bodyshop to be stripped, blasted and repaired. The blue escort has moved on to its new home.

On Saturday the white escort moves on to its new home where work will begin

Unfortunately not much has happened, the escort is at the body shop, partially stripped and I am looking for some parts:-

front wings
wing rail mounting
front nose panel (round light)

heater
dash
ignition + keys
door locks + keys

Any help with the above will be greatly appreciated....

The 240z is moving faster, the car has been stripped and blasted. Some of the rust has been repaired, more to come. All new panels that were required have been sourced and the bodyshop is cracking on with the rest........ paint soon

240z
waiting on a few parts and small bits of repair work being done

mk1
front wings replaced
bodywork sanded down
painted frozen white
just waiting for a new roof lining and then glass and new rubbers goes in.... oh yes and decals
still some interior work to be done

This is the somewhat the goal, without the bubble arches.......
