Default motorcraft filters or Mann hummel???

right guys

we all like to use genuine parts or uprated parts these days, most of us change the oil approx every 3k miles

we all look after our cars now a days, the last 10 years of neglected rot boxes have mainly disappeared etc

don't want the "money is no object" reply

does it or does it not make a difference using a Mann hummel (german made) oil filter and air filter over a motor craft oil filter and fuel filter.

look forward to the replies

you need to review your own question.

I get what you mean though, I would use any quality branded filters.

mann filters are easily more available, german made, great reputation at making a good oem filter and they are cheaper than the motor craft items, its just is there any like 'flow' resistance of filters with fluids

i can see motor craft filters on ebay but not the fuel filters so I'm looking for alternatives

Mann & Hummel are a respected original equipment supplier to the motor industry. Ford buys parts form the likes of NGK, Bosch, Visteon etc. so it wouldn't surprise me if they buy or have bought filters from Mann

MANN, MAHLE filters are top-notch and not that expensive, also the MOTORCRAFT ones.

Would say Motorcraft or Mann doesn't make big difference, both are quality,
but Mann, Motorcraft vs. no-name products make a bigger difference IMO.

If you have interest in a fuel filter for a Cosworth here the MANN part-no.: WK 618/3

Just put Mann filters in my tdci focus and all seems good

They were a little more expensive than the real cheapo filters and only a few quid less than Ford

Diesel filter was £20 and a Ford one was only £26. If I had of known I would have gone FORD

If you change your oil every 3k and it's a standard engine why not just use cheapo filters

I got motorcraft filter and plug from burtons sure they were not too expensive at all
