My car sometimes acts as if its hunting for revs. My odb tells me it goes from 700-900. Can feel it revving. Also on idle sometimes it will stay on 900rpm.

Its a 2001 Ford Focus 1.6 Ghia.

Does it sound like the ICV?

its a option could also be air leak or maf issue

 

I had the same trouble with my escort I took the icv out cleaned It in petrol then it worked fine after that

 

I did give the ICV a quick clean as I had a spare 10 miniutes then ran it for 5 minutes.

I did it on a Saab 9000 yrs ago....looks like I'll be doing it on this too, mine starts to idle fine at 1000 then drops to 800, no bouncing yet though

 

Checked it today and clean as a whistle so fk knows why the idle's like this...ford pish
