Default RS1600i question

Aternoon all.

I am a very proud owner of a RS1600i that "Car SOS" tv program took away, Stripped down and rebuilt with new everything! Without me knowing.
It has a dizzy but I want to put it back to twin coils.
Could anyone tell me what is required, and how I should do it please.
Many thanks in advance

Coils for a start obviously,a pick up lead and an ECU.Your car may still have the lead and the ECU though as mine did although they weren't in use due to it having a dizzy too.

ECU if it's there will be down below the steering wheel on the right hand side, cover is held on with 2 screws. The lead should be grey and be visible coming from the gearbox if it's still there.

These parts are quite hard to get a hold of in good working order now and I don't think I've ever seen the whole kit for sale together.

Be prepared to pay good money for parts as they aren't cheap.

Thanx Stevenr for that quick reply. I have just bought two coils and will take a look under the bonnet tomorrow.

No problem.Glad to help.

There's a guide on the RSOC forum I think showing how it's all done but I think you have to be a paid member to see that part now,not sure so worth a look.

You might even find it on the site mentioned above too,www.seriesoneturbo.co.uk

Don't worry about the name, all mk3 Escorts are welcome
