Been fancying a change from the ST lately so basically did a straight swap for this:

It's standard apart from an exhaust and a Bluefin but more to come eventually but got a few things to sort out first. Mechanically it's fine but cosmetically (IMO anyway) it's a little bit on the tatty side so needs a bit of paint doing, the drivers seat needs a repair to the upper and lower bolster fabric, steering wheel needs a retrim, the slam panel has been painted but looks proper shite as well and the whole car needs a bloody good clean and a nice polish!!
It drives very very well though and has stacks of history with it too which to me is the important bit! I'd rather have a well looked after car that needs a little cosmetic attention than one that looks absolutely mint but has never even seen a service!!
I do miss my ST a little bit but this is so much more fun to drive and is IMO more likely to depreciate less in the future than the ST will. Plus I always fancied one anyway!

It'll be minty mint after that then!

So much more fun to drive! Just need to sort the power out!
I thought I would but in actual fact, I don't!

I actually think this drives better than my ST and I don't miss any of the toys (apart from the xenon headlights) that the ST had over the RS!
I was always paranoid about something going wrong with it so I'm glad I haven't got as many gizmos! I like my cars simple, a bit like me!!!

Cheers mate! Glad I made the move!

The power delivery reminds me a little of my old series 2 RST but without the feeling it was gonna blow any second!! Lol!
Cheers mate!

The flexible section of the cat/down pipe is blowing now for which I've bought a decat pipe for but I haven't fitted it yet!
I had it on the rollers earlier this week just to make sure all is well. It was a little down on what it should have been as it doesn't seem to hold the boost properly and the power falls quite sharply at around 4250 rpm so I've ordered a new Forge actuator for it. It made 224 bhp and 270 ib/ft of torque so it's not too sad.
The way I feel about my saph these days mate, breaking and getting rid could be a possibility in the near future. I actually hate the car at this moment in time.

Got to get the bodywork sorted (new bonnet and get the front wings, both bumpers and inside the wheel arches painted and also get the car mopped) because I'm fussy!
Get the outer bolsters on the drivers seat retrimmed,
Fit the new actuator to get some ponies back,
Fit the decat,
Fit some new boost hoses,
Induction kit (don't know which yet),
Either an uprated chargecooler rad or front mount intercooler,
Proper manifold,
JohnFRS hybrid turbo,
Fit my boost and AFR gauges,
Fit a Scangauge as I hate not having a temperature gauge,
Fit some DS2500 pads all round and change the fluid for some decent stuff as the brakes are REALLY SHIT! They fade like fuck!
,I may fit a decent stereo set up as well as I haven't had one for a while,
Maybe a few other bits but I don't want to go overboard with it, just want a nice, tidy, useable and reasonably quick fun car!
May go a little further if I out my cossie though.

I'll try some decent fluid and pads and see how I get on, if that doesn't make them better, I'll slap some AP's on it! Could do without spending that kind of dough though!
The feel of them are pretty good but they just fade so quickly!!

Long time, no speak! How's things with you?
The way I feel about my cossie at the moment mate, it's just going to stay in the garage until I work out what I'm going to do with it.
Wait until you see my Group A Hammock mate!!!

Cheers Ad!
