Default zetec turbo - thinking about breaking for parts- see last post

Hi everyone im building a black top zetec turbo and thought i would share it with you guys.
first of i must apologise for my bad spelling lol

So far i have got the engine out of the car (1.8 silver top) and ditched it for a 2.0 black top!

got the engine stripped down to a bare block ready to be acid dipped and decked/ refaced for new head gasket.
Pretty happy with the engine its running standard bearings and had only done 48k

bought loads of goodies....

T35 turbo of a lancia delta evo
Crazy cage inlet and exhaust manifolds
Focus rs exhaust
ACL bearings
Cat cams/ devil developments valve springs
Brand new focus rs pistons
New forge conrods with 22mm gudgeon pins
Omex 600 management
focus Rs AP clutch and gearbox

gonna get the engine to engineering company on Monday for dipping and a reface, hopefully get it back for next weekend to start building!

This is my first zetec turbo build (built cosworth, cvh, and zvh before)
Any advice or things i might have forgot???

Cheers
Danny

Was aiming for 400 to start with (chasing figures) then spec changed slightly and thought 300bhp is more then enough in fwd car... Hard to lay the power down!
So will be happy to hit 300!
What sort of power do you guys think this spec would make realistically?... Not really interested in pub talk about false bhp figures!

It's going to be a road car with few track days etc... Hoping to get it done and all the teething problems sorted before ford fair (depending on funds)
Got the most expensive parts out of the way but its all the little parts that's add up!
Go 4wd???? Never seen that done other then using cosworth running gear

I hope so.... My 2.0 ZVH fiesta turbo was running 240bhp and 280 ft torque on ib5 gearbox and quaife diff, 16" wheels and just wheel span constantly... Even up Santa pod on slicks!
Will be running 17" on focus plus equal length drive shafts which is meant to help!

ive seen a mk5 escort running RS2K 4x4 running gear and a fiesta turbo lump... but not seen a focus running 4x4 other then cosworth running gear!

Isn't the RS2k 4x4 running gear made out of chocolate??

Was a fast ford cover car years back

The rs2k 4x4 drivetrain is strong enough. it needs its own oil cooler with catch tank to make it last at higher power outputs.

Got a set of st170 injector just to run it in with think they are 310cc
What injectors do you advise for full boost map? 440cc?

not a good idea mate, get some decent new 400cc+ injectors not worth building a strong motor then risking melt down for the sake of a set of injectors.

They are the injectors out of my fiesta turbo so I know there good clean injectors!
I know I'm gonna need a new set of injectors to run full boost...
What injectors should I use? Siemams?

who ever is doing your mapping should spec you some really, and make sure there compatible with omex.
your call, but I would not mess around with small injectors low boost or not.

For around 300bhp Astra vxr injectors are what il be using, will run that power happily and are pretty cheap too! Can buy them brand new for around Ł110

Siemens deka iv's 630cc injectors should be pretty decent, my ZT runs mint on them thanks to the mappers skills.
