the prop would be second point of call and even a tiny bit of play at the front end would cause all sorts of vibrations, but the brakes would be the first port of call because it's been sat up for so long

Those longer shafts can cause problems, having said that I had the same problem for literally years, and systematically changed out everything before I finally got to changing the drivers side hub and it turned out that was the problem.
It could also be your ball joint's/suspension arm if they have some play in them.

Thanks every one car is lowered a lot and normal sharfts kill cvs in a 500 miles or less , wheels are tight and straight will swap the front to back and see if that changes , iv bit the builet and orded new tie rods new polly bush kit and new lower arms , if that dosnt fix it ill try hubs
Thanks
Thanks
when you put it all back together do this:
remove the strut, remove the spring, replace springless strut, fit everything back again other than the spring, then move the wheel through all the range of the strut and steering to see if it's the shaft binding somewhere
there hsould be a spring on the inner cv to push the shaft back out again and as the xr shafts are longer this may be why they were causing an issue

What a pain, but I hope the replacement solves your issue! I was actually thinking about this thread the other day and forgot to mention that it could be a needle bearing from the tripod on the shaft, but that's nothing you can check unless you take the boot off and take the shaft out of the CV. Maybe the CV was just fooked
