Default Where tyres for my 8x17's??

Getting a little confused, I was going to go the same as MADAde with 205/40' on the front and 215/45's on the rear, but in the end went for 215's on the front as I didn't want a lot of stretch but there still is / so was thinking if I went for 215's on the rear I'd get stretch again but would the higher profile of 45's reduce that more?

This was yokohama prada's on the front but am I right in thinking it depends on the make of tyre? As toyo's seem to come up wider than the actual width quoted?

So should I look at 225's? I have 235' s at the mo but look like tractor tyres tbh, these are old yokohama a520's I think still with a 40 profile but I don't really like how they look, I'll get a pic in a mo.

This is for a 2wd saph btw, so wanted wider rears for grip obviously.

Can anybody get pics up of there and state the tyre sizes pretty please?

mine -

I know my 3dr didn't like 205/40 front and 235/40 rear so on the new wheels i went for same rear but 215/40

I have 8" wide comps with 215 Dunlop tyres on and they are stretched so I am getting 235 , as my brothers evo has 235 on its 8" wheels and look right , whats the point in fitting wider wheels if your not using wider tyres ?

I'm using 223 35 17 and the fit is bang on on 8j rims and are almost the same rolling circumference as a 205 50 15
