ive recently bought a mk3 xr3i cabby for a bit of a project to keep me busy during the winter months

it doesnt need much work doing but i have a few ideas and want to make it to my taste

it has the full mk4 interior fitted which i like over the mk 3 interior so thats a bonus

1st job was the engine bay which had about 29 yrs of dirt oil and grime plastered all over it

so ive given it a service and cleaned it up

next job is the exterior

 

well had a few hrs spare at the weekend so whipped of the wheels to see what state the brakes were in

i decided to fit new pads and tidy up the shockers and calipers





and treated the wheels to some new rubber

 

Looks tidy... Not keen on all the gold paint though...
Get some pics up if the outside.

 

Good project! As above not keen on the gold/silver should of gone black as 1 trip out in the wet it'll look dirty

 

i agree the gold is a bit "marmite" to be fair

but all im doing is redoing what previous owner had done yrs ago and started to peel off ect so saves fully stripping it back to metal
