got a mk3 xr3i which has some slight crakcing in the dahs is there anything that can be done to prevent it getting any worse?.i take it its caused by the sun ??

 

You can get them repaired,Mate had his cosworth one done and its a great finish.

 

It can be done, my mates RS 1600i was done by a professional car painter, mint job and just as though wrapping came off it from the factory.

However I am sorry to say this painter didn't tell anyone what he did and he has now emigrated to Australia

No doubt passing on all his skills to the Aussies as they have a massive following of fords there.

I don't even hear from him but if I find anything out I'll let you know.

Mine needs repairing as we'll, ever thought of vinyl wrapping or would that be too much of tight corners and folds?

Best getting a proper knackered dash and sampling with it

 

Might be worth pm'ing Hitchwest... He had his Saff dash refurb'd at a company close to us in Nantwich Cheshire a few years back...
Or get it flocked by Raj at Autoflock in Wrexham...

was thinking of flocking what does it cost? its not that bad to be honest but no doubt it will get worse. is it the heat from the sun that does it?.im in scotland which is probably why its survived so well
