My launch control and rev limiter has managed to blow the welds apart on my exhaust. Must be some force - the pops and bangs were deafening. I need to hammer it back in place, then have it welded. Tried hamering it with a piece of wood, but it's too strong, just wont budge. Wrekon it would help if heated it?

 

cant remeber how we got mine straight again with but there was a bit if wacking involved

mine was bent on the zorst though and when we got it off ( finally ) was a fooker to get back on till cowboi sorted it

 

Guy who welded oli's can help ya mate, quality of the stainless on most aftermarket zorst's is total shite LOL.....

 

to check the quality of it put a magnet on it. the better the magnet sticks to it, the worse the quality of stainless it is.

 

Agree with u - but this is a Power Engineering exhaust, and its proper good quality. Steel is very thick, and welds miles better than usual stuff. I caught it on the drive, which caused a small hole at the seam, and it's just gradually grown from there.

 

Rick, power engineering zorsts are the same as the rest mate...shite LOL....

They are good but brittle, so depends on the application

Needs to be better quality stainless, end off. LOL

yeah, my scorpion fell off after a bad gear change in me cabrio on the M25

that was at the weld where it snapped too aswell

its got a proper bodges system on there now though

Yes heat it up and you'll be ok. Then find someone with TIG welder.
