Default Question Regarding Steering Shaft in Cockpit.

Hello community. If this topic has been covered, please forgive me.

My question is as such. The steering shaft that the Escos steering wheel is attached to is telescopic and goes in and out ... yet my desire is to have it lower much lower, say 5 cm....... Is is possible to place spacers or whatever is required and is this safe? Ideally my seating position will likely be much lower using a Sparco seat rail and I need this steering shaft to angle lower as if not to be driving a bus!
Any input is much appreciated and thanks in advance. TK

There are locating studs in the bulkhead that dictate how far down it can go
You "may" be able to lower it on these but I would worry about the uj's at the bottom tangling up if you put too much angle on them, plus it may foul on other parts too

Just make sure that you properly strengthen any potential remounting as the studs may not take as much load if you lengthen them and may pull through the bulkhead panel
