Default Anyone clued up on a cossie YB water piping system?

My cossie i have blocked the pipe that goes from my water pump to to the metal pipe that goes to heater matrix (as its a track car so no heater matrix) and ive also blocked the part at the back of the engine were it goes to near water sensor.
is this a problem ie its not actually needed is it the part of the circulation? as i blocked it will proper weld?

Basically you want to remove the heater and oil cooler. I wouldn't blank these off but instead run a hose direct from water pump to back off head.

I may be wrong but surely blanking them off would effect the water circulation of the engine????"

You are right you must connect the water pump to the back of the head as it traps the water there and can boil it,

Ive wellded a bung straight on the warter pump and on the fitting at back so there is no trapped water as such but didnt know if water still circulates without it?

best think i can do is keep checking the temp.

You can see the Thermostat housing blanked off in this picture, you must bleed back to the header tank tho , I do this from the front part of the Thermostat housing and also from the swirl pot , not too big a bore tho !
I feed into the bottom hose between rad and hose, its the coldest part of the system .
