Default help with sm4

Right chaps need some help im building my escos and have the engine management from fletchcossie old escort witch is autronic sm4 I have every part from him apart from his crank setup witch he sold with the engine he had my problem is I cant get the car to fire up I have checked every wire every sensor I have tried 3 diffrent bottom pully set ups 2 lug 4 lug and 36-1 I can sort of get it to run ruff on the 4 lug set up but no luck I have been in contact with mark at msd(top bloke) and he sead try the 2 lug pully but still no luck im getting good spark but im soaking the plugs in fule some times I get a loud bang from the exhaust and on some occasions I get a big back fire witch causes the engin to jolt back and has damaged 2 starters eney help would be grate thanks

Mark at M.A.developments will tell you what pulley trigger to use.

Were the plug leads marked on the loom because SM4 does not fire as you would expect.

o/p Inj 1 - pin17 fires cylinder 1
o/p Inj 4 - pin16 fires cylinder 2
o/p Inj 2 - pin32 fires cylinder 3
o/p Inj 3 - pin31 fires cylinder 4

What coil set-up do you have because that also fires as above.
