I can't decide on what sort of colour scheme to go with in my engine bay. Could someone use the pics below and create a black & white stencil versions that I can print out and colour in please?

If you decide on a colour scheme, put the picture up and I'll have a go at changing the original photo colours for you.

 

Quick rub it out and draw in a 1.1L lol

 

That's would be even better, and would save on me using my best crayons . I've got a few ideas in my head as follows:

Option 1: tanks black, samco hoses black, plenum, rocker cover (with silver lettering), heat sheild and strut brace black. Everything else left as is.

Option 2: Same as Option 1 but with standard blue rocker cover.

Option 3: Same as Option 1 but with red rocker cover

Option 4: Same as Option 1 but rocker cover done black with gold lettering, caps on tanks gold, air filter trumpet gold, strut top covers gold and fuel rail gold.

 

I will have a go when I get a minute this week.

(theres still little hints of blue round the pipes from "Chromatic aberration")

Good work on the photoshop, I'd go for pic2 but either change the blue anodised couplings to red or change the verniers to blue

Amazing job Chopshop - that's come out even better than I imagined. Now I have the difficult task of deciding what colour scheme to go for. It's between pic 2 & 3 I think, although I am also considering using RS500 style boost hoses...hmmm

 

Agreed Dave - I'm conscious of not wanting to have too many different colours, but don't want it to be too plain either. Also considering fitting a standard cam cover but that'll introduce more black.

Managed to get back some of the hose clips, all though the blue is creeping again!

That's not the sort of "upgrade" I was planning

 

Was just trying to think how to photoshop the rs500 style hoses in...

IMHO I don't think they would look very good.

 

Here is an examples of an Escort running them, just not sure if they'll work well against my red paintwork:



Even if you could just go a colour match on the hoses that would be useful. Not that bothered about having the hoses look 100% the same texture.

 

Not even sure if ive got the colour right looking at it now. I think it needs to be a bit more pink-ish

Red Cam cover, red couplings, black hoses gets my vote.

 

It's between that and the one with the black rocker cover for me. Can't help thinking the red cam cover might look as though it has a 3 door engine in it?!
