Hello gents.
Does anyone know of a company that sells a 2.4 stroker kit for the Sierra Cosworth YB200 4x4?

Does such a thing exist.
I've bought a beautiful block and am building a Dax Rush Quadra from the block up.
Just want to price teh idea up as the block is ready for it.

The original 2.4 kits used to be made by power engineering as far as I am aware, I don't think you can get them anymore.
Probably your next best option is to speak to Martin Hadland @ Reyland, I'm sure they offer a similar conversion or can at least advise you about it, and whether it is a good or bad idea for your inteded application.

 

Just leave it a 2L and save wasting your money

 

I wanted to say that, but I wasn't quite sure why he wanted a 2.4 so I was hoping for a bit more reasoning before we came to that conclusion lol

I run a 2.4, it was done by Power Eng back in the day

 

I guess you got the block off eBay mate that had been machined for a 2.4 crank.
It said it can still be used with a normal crank plus 2L is good for over 600 bhp so no point in 2.4
Your car will be crazy with 350 mate

 

I dont understand all the negative response for these 2.4 conversions. Brooklyn conversions used to produce mountains of torque.

 

So will a 2L with the right bits

 

I guess it depends on intended use etc. I would still personally opt for a 2.4, there are a couple knocking around these ways still things are awesome.

Fuck me save all your big bucks, get a t34 with everything else needed and get it live mapped. You"ll then enter mach3.

 

A 2150cc is the best set up for me.

Sounds a great project. Will be watching this with interest. You won`t need a large capacity engine. Martin built my engine or rather rebuilt it and it`s about 430bhp. If I want anymore I`ll have to change exh and inlet manifold and there isn`t much room. Then you have to cool it, both air and water temps......

Trust me 430bhp and 620kgs is quickish.

What gearbox/diffs you planning on using?
