Hi guys, time to sell on the rs1600i project that has been with me for a short period of time, as I need to throw some money at the 3dr

It's a black 'Y' reg model, with electric windows.
I have recently got It back from the body shop where it has had a full body restoration, with gleaming gloss black paint, a new rear panel and spare wheel well, a recent bonnet and new graphics. It was a full glass out re spray to a very good standard, so looks amazing. I have a heap of pictures to back up the work done, but they are on my phone and I need to use a desktop to transfer them to photobucket before I get them on here. can send them via text or what's app if needed.
Floors are great, no welding needed or been done previously.
I have put brand new old stock sound deadening down under the carpets, the seats are mint, mint door panels and roof lining.
Even has original mudflaps fitted!M
Car has original engine and box with all numbers on logbook matching! Has original radio but needs fitting and wiring in.
Front spoiler is near perfect and rear spoiler very good, but slightly deformed (not badly).
Steering is nice and tight, roof lining taught, and all bits are original. No mods!

The wheels are in good nick, but tyres will need replacing as the car was stood for 9 years before I got hold of it.

The original coils are still on it and they work!,!!

Has the spotlights and fogs fitted too,,.

Car starts ad runs, but fuel pump has seized due to being stood so long. Could do with a couple of new door seals and minor stuff now to be a really good, possibly concourse car.
Floor pans and cills are all solid, so is the battery tray and all the arches.

I am putting on here before it goes on ebay as I would lie to see it go to an enthusiast.

Windscreen seal
Rear screen seal
Fuel pump
Timing belt changed
Service
Mot.
1 spotlight slightly damaged
New steering wheel needed, as old one has leather peeling.


Car is complete and I have put it back together, and I will offer a few spares if the price is right.

All brake pipes are all in great condition as it was stood in a dry heated garage

Pics show the car in progression to what it looks like now in the last few pics. I have front and rear screens, just need the seals to put them in.

This is a very small project for someone to finish and then you will have a good useable very tidy 16i. A very rare car.

What's the mileage, when was it last on road? How many owners? Location? What paper works comes with it?
Is it in standard form, no silly mods or parts missing etc?

 

No silly mods at all, nothing missing, steering wheel is no good as the leather is peeling.
Was last on the road in about 2004?
Mileage is showing 11,000 but I think that will be 111,000.
Logbook says 13 owners, the last was for. 17 years
Comes with some old mots, a new battery, receipts for various services and work from years ago.

new turbo needed, so went for the t35 as the rest is stage 3. its gone to vince at cr turbo,s who has looked after me immensely. nothing else really, but I want to get bigger brakes etc on it.

I just know that this would never be driven if parked next to the 3 dr to be fair
