Not 100% sure must be early 80's as he had a D-reg Series 2 from new aswell so it would have been before that.

 

looks ace ur dad is one lucky dude

Yep on his merc. He bought the plate about 25-30 years ago when it was on a Ford Pop for £100 transfered the plate and sold the car on for £50
Those days have well gone!!
I've got pics of his moonstone saph 2wd and RS2000 4x4 with the same plate.
Never got a pic of the Series 2 with the plate
