Hi all,

Im new here so hoping im doing this right!

I have a 1986 xr4i 4 door, I have nearly got it it ready for its mot (been standing gor 8 years!) but i need both front wings!

I have spent hours trying to find them but have got no where. Will any mk1 wing fit the xr4i or are they different?

Also would mk2 wings fit it if I also purchased indicators as the mk2 wings are alot easier to get hold of?

Any advice would be gratefully received, I want my beauty on the road and this is all that's stopping me!!!

Have you got a XR4i or a XR4x4 ?

As being a 86 it should be a 4x4

XR4i and XR4x4 the same? really.......? last time i looked they looked like 2 totally different cars

Its the xr4x4

 

4i and Cosworth front wings have holes around the lip for the bodykit to screw into plastic plugs.

The 4x4 wings should just be standard Mk1 wings (can't remember if they have holes for the trim strips or not.

Mk2 wings only work if you also change the front slam panel, crossmember, part of the inner wings, the windscreen scuttle and the bonnet.
