Default Fiesta XR2i restoration

hi im new here but here goes.

im just about to start a bare shell restoration on a mk3 fiesta xr2i.

is there any advice or hints and tips or worthwhile mods?

its a car im building for my wife and i want to keep it as standard as possible.

are there any things on these cars that i should just change without a second thought? i plan to have the engine overhauled any way but it has only done 10000 miles since new but has been sat in a field for the last 3 years.

Mk3 or 3.5? CVH or Zetec? Rust will be the biggy on it. They are pretty bulletproof little cars if looked after. Had 2 now and both were superb, well technically the grey one was my mums but still gave Ginge a run for his money after a party with a few of the old PF faces.

It's a mk3 cvh. I have a good shell from a 1.3 3 door that just needs a bit of love as the xr2i shell was completely rotten. I'm just a bit worried if everything will swap over. Does anyone know if there were any difference in the shells ?

There are quite a few differences not least a revised floorpan and a fuel flap and recessed filler as opposed to the flush cap.
