I have a 2004 fiesta 1.4 durashift it kept getting stuck in gear then wouldn't start, leave overnight would start up fine

Had fault codes read and found to be clutch position sensor so the tcm has been sent away for repair.

Just refitted the rebuilt unit and back bled the clutch but it doesn't want to drive

Does the clutch have to be re learned using ids??

 

There is a clutch learn routine on IDS yep.

 

Is that the problem do you think as the unit has been drained down and re bled has it just lost its memory?

 

It would be my first port of call yeah.

 

It has to go on the IDS but 9 times out of 10 it's the ECU. I had the same problem with the wife's and ended up converting it to manual.
